Roger Hutchison
Roger Hutchison is Director of Christian Formation and Parish Life at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, TX. Also an artist and writer, Roger is the author of four books, The Painting Table: A Journal of Loss and Joy, Under the Fig Tree: Visual Prayers and Poems for Lent, My Favorite Color is Blue. Sometimes. and the February 2018 release Jesus: God Among Us which was inspired by Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s call to the Episcopal Church to be the “Jesus Movement” in this world.
Following the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, Roger had the privilege of painting with children who were impacted by this tragic event. The experience affected him profoundly and convinced him of a vocation to serve those who grieve with his writing and art.
Roger lives in Missouri City, Texas with his wife Kristin, their daughter Riley and Scout the cockapoo.
